Voices of the Bay
Website for a University of the Sunshine Coast Industry project.
Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop
In collaboration with Fulbright specialist Brita D’Agostino, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at New Mexico State University, plus a group of third year design students and myself (a second year student at the time), we were to design a creative artefact to educate young people living in the Moreton Bay region about the new University of the Sunshine Coast campus in Petrie, Queensland. Our group created a website that featured an array of creative elements including photography, hand drawn and digital illustration, animation and branding that acted as a fun and interactive website that featured interviews with past, present and potential USC students, lecturers and primary school students. Interviews were asked a series of curated questions including whether they had heard about the new campus being built at Petrie, at the time. My role involved creating digital illustration of many of the interviewees to be used as visual elements on the website and marketing. This was a skill I quickly developed especially for this project and I have continued to refine these skills since the completion of this project in mid 2019.
